Interior rate list software solves a problem every studio knows: the right rate is always somewhere else. Many studios keep their rates in a few different places: a supplier PDF, an Excel sheet, a note on the phone. Every new quote starts with finding the latest number. Nebula's library brings those rates into one place, and Library Import fills it for you.
Why an interior rate list needs software
A rate list in a spreadsheet works until the studio grows. Then the problems start:
- Two people use two versions of the same sheet
- A supplier changes a price and only some quotes get the new rate
- Units drift: sqft in one row, Sft in another, SFT in a third
- Nobody is sure which file is the latest
A rate list inside your quotation tool fixes this, because every quote reads from the same source.
What My Library holds
My Library is your studio's own list of materials and services. Each item has a description, unit, rate, GST % and HSN/SAC code. Items are grouped by work category, such as Interior, Furniture, Electrical, Data and Networking, HVAC, Fire and Safety, and CCTV.
Import a rate card in three steps
- Click + Import under My Library and drop in your rate card as Excel (.xlsx, .xls, .csv) or PDF.
- Nebula reads the items and rates and shows them in a preview table. You can edit any name or rate before saving.
- Click Add to Library, and the confirmed items are saved.

Excel and CSV files are read directly. PDF rate cards are read by Nebula AI, which extracts each item and its rate.
Keep it clean with Library Manager
Manage opens the Library Manager. Search items, filter by category, edit description, unit, rate, GST and HSN/SAC, or delete a row. Fix Units cleans up inconsistent unit names in one click, so "sqft", "Sft" and "SFT" become one unit.
How your library prices every quote
- Type-ahead: start typing in a quote row and matching library items appear with your rate
- Click or drag: add any library item to a room in one move
- Floor plan drafts: the Floor Plan Analyzer uses your library rate wherever an item matches
- New items: if a quote has items with no saved price, Nebula lists them so you can add a rate and save them
Your library is what makes the floor plan draft useful
An AI draft from a floor plan is only as good as the prices behind it. Because the Floor Plan Analyzer prices matching items from your library, the first draft already carries your numbers, not generic ones. Add GST, pick a template in Preview, and the client receives a branded, room-wise PDF built on rates you trust. That is why a clean library is the quiet engine behind every fast approval.
Why this wins projects
The same item carries the same price for every client. Quotes go out faster because nobody hunts for rates. And when suppliers change prices, you update the library once instead of fixing old quotes one by one.
Questions studios ask
Can I import a supplier's PDF rate card?
Yes. Nebula AI reads the PDF and lists each item and rate in a preview, so you can check and correct them before anything is saved.
Does updating a rate change quotes I already sent?
No. A new rate is used in new quotes. Sent quotes and their versions stay as they were.
Can I keep GST and HSN/SAC codes with each item?
Yes. Each library item stores its GST % and HSN/SAC code, and both flow into every quote that uses it.

A designer's note
I designed the library as the heart of Nebula, not a settings page. Rates are a studio's knowledge, built over years, and they deserve one trusted home. The import step exists because nobody should retype a rate card they already have. I kept the preview editable on purpose: AI can read a PDF, but you should always see and approve every number before it becomes your price.
